Asbestos Surveys
Asbestos surveys are often a
requirement for Management Plans and are an effective way to
comply with legislation. A type 2 survey provides the basis for an
asbestos register and subsequent asbestos management as defined in
CAR 2006 Regulation 4. This places a specific duty to manage
asbestos in buildings in non-domestic properties, and includes all
communal areas. This is also enforced by the HSE.
Monitor Env Ltd holds
accreditation for carrying out surveys and is independently
audited by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17020 to perform inspections in
accordance with MDHS100 (Surveying, sampling and assessment of
asbestos-containing materials)
