Asbestos surveys are often a requirement for Management Plans and are an effective way to comply with legislation. A management survey provides the basis for an asbestos register and subsequent asbestos management as defined in CAR 2006 Regulation 4. This places a specific duty to manage asbestos in buildings in non-domestic properties, and includes all communal areas. This is also enforced by the HSE.
This places increased responsibility on controllers of premises and building managers who will have explicit duties to identify, assess and manage asbestos containing materials in buildings. Monitor Environmental Ltd helps companies comply with this legislation by liaising with the client to produce a detailed, comprehensive survey report with photographs and test certificates.
"But we have a modern building..."
