Every employer
who provides any LEV to meet regulation 7 shall ensure that, it is
maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order, in
good repair and in a clean condition” Regulation 9-1 COSHH

The HSE are enforcing exposure
to exhaust fumes and without this as part of your COSHH assessment
and within the excepted limits then you could be served with a
prohibition notice!

The
COSHH Regulations 2002 require that Local Exhaust Ventilation
(LEV) systems are thoroughly examined and tested every 14 months
by a competent LEV test engineer. We offer a thorough testing
and examination of LEV systems, which includes measurements of
static pressure, transport velocity, face velocity and
temperature.

The
test and examination of LEV fulfils the requirements of the
COSHH Regulations 2002 and the HSE Guidance Note HSG54 “The
maintenance, examination and testing of local exhaust
ventilation.”

Long
term (8 hour) and short term (15 minute) monitoring undertaken
depending upon Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL) of the
hazardous substance.

written in accordance with British Institute of Occupational
Hygiene methods
